About one hundred second graders from Southwood Valley Elementary dropped by the KBTX studio this morning.

The second graders are learning about weather and our studio became a science lab or sorts.

Guess you could call meteorologist Shel Winkley their lab instructor.

Shel spent time with the students, telling them how he predicts local weather and how to present a forecast.

Of course they got the always important hands on experience by practicing on the green wall.
