Fifteen Bryan ISD schools have received Gold Performance Acknowledgments from the Texas Education Agency for demonstrating high achievement in areas other than those used to determine accountability ratings.
In all, 42 awards exemplifying superior performance were reported using 2011 TAKS results and other accountability indicators. Higher standards and more rigorous student assessments in 2011 make these awards particularly noteworthy.
Areas rated include: Reading/English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Writing, Social Studies, Attendance and Advanced Credit.
Campuses receiving acknowledgements are: Rudder High School, Bryan Collegiate High School, Juvenile Justice Center, Jane Long Middle School, Davila Middle School, Henderson Elementary, Kemp Elementary, Johnson Elementary, Ross Elementary, Milam Elementary, Houston Elementary, Navarro Elementary, Branch Elementary, Bowen Elementary and Neal Elementary.
