Activation ceremonies for two former units of Texas A&M University's Corps of Cadets were held today at the Sanders Corps of Cadets Center.
Squadron 1 and Company F-1 are now back in service in order to accommodate the steady growth of incoming students who want to be part of the Corps.
Squadron 1 will be led by Kristan Volk.
Company F-1's commander will be Bradley Bergfeld.
There are plans to reactivate more units in the near future based on need.
The Corps is the longest tradition at A&M.
It's 136 years young, and has been producing members of the armed forces and leaders in non-military fields.
