Calvert city leaders spread some Christmas cheer today.

City staff, the police chief and volunteers loaded up toys and gifts at the Calvert senior center for the first-ever "Gifting Tree of Love."

Santa Claus and friends went door to door across the city handing out stuffed animals and toys to lots of sweet children.

It's the first program of it's kind in Calvert and they're hoping to make it an annual Christmas tradition.
