A couple of Huntsville city employees have reached milestone marks in their careers.

City Secretary Lee Woodward and Deputy City Secretary Kristin Edwards received their Texas Registered Municipal Clerk certifications.

The program involves college-level courses and exams, as well as attending seminars across the state.

650 applicants have completed the program over the years.

Woodward says the program will allow them to serve the public better because they've got a more comprehensive base of knowledge.

Huntsville Mayor Mac Woodward added that Woodward and Edwards' certifications are a credit to their city.
