A local hero will be recognized at the U-S Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio Saturday.

The game will showcase the talents of future college and NFL stars.

During the game, several soldier heroes will be honored, including Cpt. Mark Herman.

Cpt. Herman is currently an MBA student at Texas A&M.

He's a Bronze Star recipient and has served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Herman has also served as a mentor to one of the players by helping him understand what it means to be an Army strong solider.
