The College Station ISD Education Foundation’s fifth-annual 50 Men Who Can Cook event raised more than $90,000 to support teacher grants, student scholarships and special projects.
The event would not have been possible without four-year “Top Chef” sponsor, Commerce National Bank, along with other community sponsors, celebrity chefs and volunteers.
In its 13th year, the CSISD Education Foundation has raised more than $1.5 million through community and corporate donations. This year, The Foundation will reach the $500,000 mark in giving back to the classroom through teacher grants.
Additionally, funds raised through the foundation are used to provide scholarships to selected graduating seniors, offer programs and opportunities for students and staff, as well as award grants to teachers for the development and implementation of innovative teaching programs within the classroom not otherwise funded by tax dollars.
