Brazos Christian School is going to the dogs. Children's author and dog lover David M. Sargent Jr. visited the students of Brazos Christian School today for a presentation and book signing.

Along for the ride were the inspirations for his works his four dogs: Emma, Spike, Tatum, and Daffney.

Sargent has written 56 books about his canine companions since he started writing in 1995.

He stressed the importance of reading and learning to care for animals.
