For years, he's told you that only you can prevent forest fires.

Now, a Smokey the Bear from Walker County is set to travel the country.

This piece took six months to build.

Smokey weighs 13-hundred pounds, and on his upper body alone, he's got more than 15-hundred hand-cut pieces. No two are alike.

It's the first known hand-cut and bent Smokey.

He's going to travel from Sam Houston National Forest to Washington DC, then across the country before coming back home.
