A 20-year veteran forester and Sustainable Forestry Department Head for the Texas A&M Forest Service was honored this week with the 2012 Vice Chancellor's Award in Excellence for Public Service in Forestry.

Burl Carraway III was presented the award at the annual Texas A&M Agri-Life Conference. The award in Excellence for Public Service in Forestry was given to Carraway to recognize his commitment and contributions to Texas A&M Agrilife.
