The Brazos County Law Enforcement Community held the 1st Annual Brazos County Law Enforcement Cook Off on May 17, 2014. The cook off was in conjunction with Police Week, which honors fallen officers that were killed in the line of duty. Santa's Wonderland graciously donated their facilities for the event. Law Enforcement Teams cooked in competition for three categories, Brisket, Chicken, and Ribs. They also cooked extra briskets for sandwiches that were sold to the public.

The 1st Annual Brazos County Law Enforcement Cook Off raised over $8,500 for local charities and a Brazos Valley Benevolence Fund. The Brazos Valley Benevolence Fund was established to assist Law Enforcement Officers in our area with funds in times of a crisis. The Board of Directors presented Still Creek Boys Ranch with a $1,000 check and The 100 Club with a $2,000 check at an event wrap-up luncheon June 25th at Koppe Bridge Restaurant. Both organizations work closely with Law Enforcement Agencies in our area.

The 2nd Annual Brazos County Law Enforcement Cook Off is scheduled for May 16, 2015. If you would like to make a donation towards the Brazos Valley Benevolence Fund, please make the check out to "Brazos County Law Enforcement Cook Off". The checks can be mailed to:
