The Saint Joseph Regional Cancer Center, along with the support of the Saint Joseph Health system, honored cancer survivors on Saturday in their first celebration event designed to give back to survivors.
As a surprise for the survivors and their families, hundreds of butterflies were released as a symbol of hope and freedom that their battle has reached an end.
St. Joseph hopes to make this an annual event.
