Centerville's graduating class of 2013 has worked together to honor a fallen hero.
Sergeant Wade Wilson joined the Marines after graduating from Centerville High School. The 22-year-old died during his second tour in Afghanistan in May of 2011.
The Class of 2013 has donated funds for a granite bench in Sgt. Wilson's honor on the high school campus.
The bench will be made of black granite and have the Marine Corps emblem engraved, as well as his name and rank. There will also be a lighted walkway surrounding the bench with a permanent light facing the sky.
The concrete, lighting and electrical work has been donated by local companies.
