Students at A&M Consolidated Middle School surpassed all records for College Station ISD's school-wide food drive.
They raised more than 24,000 pounds of food. That's more than four times the amount collected in the past five years combined.
It was all part of the Hunger Games competition at the middle school.
The seventh grade girls won the competition by collecting the most food, just less than 9,000 pounds.
All of the donations were given to the Brazos Valley Food Bank and will stay in the community.
