In June of 2012, College Station Police Department Lt. Rodney Sigler was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in the lower part of his esophagus, caused by acid reflux.
His wife Monica and their four children would later learn that he had a 25% chance of survival with aggressive treatments of radiation, chemotherapy & surgery.
Saturday, hundreds of people showed up support the Sigler family.
Good friends of the family put together an incredible barbecue benefit with great food and lots of auction items to help raise money
that will go toward medical bills.
Monica says they are very thankful for the entire community's support.
