As we reported earlier this is Severe Weather Awareness Week.
The good news is some of you have taken the time to prepare for future storms.
Wednesday morning the Walker County and city of Huntsville emergency management offices and members of the Huntsville Fire Department hosted mock tornado drills at all Hunstville and New Waverly ISD schools.
The drills lasted about 20 minutes and during that time, students took to the halls and took cover by placing their heads between their knees to protect their heads.
Officials say it's the second drill they've done this month and the exercises have been beneficial.
