The Bryan Municipal Court was awarded the Traffic Safety Initiative Award at the recent Traffic Safety Conference, co-sponsored by the Texas Department of Transportation and the Texas Municipal Court Education Center.
The award was presented to Texas Municipal Courts who are engaged in making the community aware of traffic safety issues such as: talking or texting on mobile devices while driving, the need for child safety seats for children under 8 years of age, and the need for drivers and passengers to be buckled up with seatbelts in vehicles.
The Bryan Municipal Court and other recognized courts across the state are selected to receive the Traffic Safety Initiative Award based on the activities that the court is engaged in to make the community aware of traffic safety issues.
Municipal Court Administrator Hilda Cuthbertson, Warrant Technician Donna Wade, and Community Service Coordinator Danielle Starling represented Bryan at the Traffic Safety Conference, and accepted the award.
The Bryan Municipal Court also received the Traffic Safety Initiative Award in 2008.
