Retired U.S. Army Specialist and Buffalo resident Tony Zapolski is on a new mission to raise money for other soldiers.
Zapolski is a military historian. He is often in military reenactments from previous wars. He's been chosen to be part of the Silent Soldier Ruck March in Colorado Springs.
Zapolski will be part of a team of troopers marching for twelve consecutive days, for about 75 miles per day. The team is trying to bring awareness and raise money for troops suffering with TBS, Post Traumatic Stress and homeless veterans.
The fundraiser will be filmed during the march for an upcoming documentary.
