A Montgomery County school has teamed up with a rival school to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
For 50 years, Splendora High and Tarkington High have competed in the "Battle of the Bell." Both schools sell "pink links" for a quarter to raise money for the cure.
During halftime of their rivalry football game, both teams will present the pink links collected to see which school has raised more.
The school that raises the most money will go home with the pink cowbell. Last year, students raised almost $7,000.
