A line of thunderstorms swept across the Brazos Valley Tuesday night into Wednesday morning producing heavy rain, hail, lightning and strong winds, along with one tornado warning.
This came during a severe thunderstorm watch that remained in effect for Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Trinity and Walker Counties through 1am Wednesday.
A tornado warning was issued for Grimes, Walker and Montgomery Counties when conditions became ripe for the formation of a tornado.
So far no reports of any damage.
There were some reports of localized minor flooding in various counties.
There were also reports of lightning strikes. The Raising Canes restaurant on Texas Avenue in College Station reported a lightning hit, but only smoke. There was no indication of the amount of damage. The manager expected the restaurant to be on open on Wednesday.
Rain amounts across the region ranged from a tenth of an inch up to 3 inches.
