More Americans are developing diabetes than ever before.
New numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that 29 million Americans have diabetes. That's up from 26 million in 2010. And one in four people don't even know it.
Wednesday on First News at Four we talked to Kara Jones-Schubart, a nurse practitioner and assistant professor with the Texas A&M College of Nursing. She talked about the dangers of leaving diabetes undiagnosed and untreated. She also talked about the signs and symptoms and when people should talk to their doctor about diabetes.
