KBTX Media, Gray Television and Kent Moore Cabinets announce the debut of The Kent Moore Cabinets Digital Studio, part of a multi-million dollar renovation of the KBTX Media broadcast facilities.

The state-of-the-art facility completes KBTX’s move to enhanced digital and high-definition programming.

Broadcasts from the new digital studios began Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. for First News at Four.

The decision to partner with Kent Moore Cabinets was based on KBTX Vice President and General Manager Mike Wright’s confidence in the company’s dedication to quality and excellence.

"It is important that we invest locally whenever possible. Having a company like Kent Moore Cabinets nearby was a perfect opportunity to have the set constructed here at home," Wright said. "Showcasing their high quality work, day in and day out, on-air and on-line, is something we are proud to do on behalf of Kent Moore Cabinets."

Over forty years ago, Kent Moore started a part-time business while attending Texas A&M University. The demand in the Bryan-College Station area continued to grow and his part-time company became full-time. Kent Moore Cabinets has continued to expand and now has operations in seven Texas cities.

Kent Moore Cabinets prides itself in promoting the phrase "innovation meets inspiration." KBTX Media shares the same thought process, thereby affirming this partnership opportunity.

Now in its 56th year of service, KBTX News 3 provides local news, weather, sports and CBS programming to Bryan-College Station and the surrounding 16-county area, producing six daily local newscasts and three weekend local newscasts.

Local construction of the state-of-the-art broadcast facility is the first of its kind within Gray Television.

"In discussing this opportunity, it was clear that Kent Moore Cabinets and KBTX shared the same philosophy of business and community. We see this as a long-term win for the community and for our company," Wright said.

KBTX Media plans on a ribbon-cutting in studio on Tuesday, July 31, 2012.
