KBTX DEPENDS ON LAW ENFORCEMENT AND OFFICIALS FOR INFORMATION. WE HAD A STORY ABOUT A MALE STRUCK BY A DRIVER NEAR MILLICAN.

J-N WROTE:

He wasn't just walking down the street in the middle of the night. This article does not give the facts of what happened in any way. This is HORRIBLE reporting!!!! How disrespectful to Byron and his family!

J-N, WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, HORRIBLE REPORTING WOULD BE IF WE MADE SOMETHING UP. THIS REPORT WAS PUBLISHED EXACTLY AS RELAYED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT. IF THERE IS MORE TO THE STORY, CONTACT US.

SEEING THE NAME OF SOMEONE YOU KNOW ASSOCIATED WITH A STORY ABOUT AN ARREST FOR ALLEGED PROSTITUTION IS NEVER POSITIVE. TWO INDIVIDUALS WERE ARRESTED FOR SAID INFRACTION AT THE ROMANTIC LOCATION THAT IS – THE JOCKEY LOT. CLAY FALLS WAS REPORTER ON THIS STORY.

CHARLOTTE WROTE:

Another great insertion of personal opinion into what's supposed to be unbiased news reporting. Regardless of how one feels about it, the law states that it's illegal. Are you interested in reporting, Clay, because you want to report facts? Or are you on your own personal cultural jihad and using reporting to get there? If it's the former, I encourage you to go see the Nefarious documentary presentation next time it's at Rudder. It will disabuse you of any notions that say legal prostitution is working in the Netherlands.

CHARLOTTE – I READ HIS ARTICLE SEVERAL TIMES, AND THERE WERE NO REFERENCES OR PHRASES THAT WOULD COME CLOSE TO A PERSONAL OPINION ON CLAY’S PART. YOUR ATTACK ON CLAY WAS UNWARRANTED AND MEAN, AND FRANKLY, I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT. IF YOU’D LIKE TO READ THE ARTICLE, LET ME KNOW IF I MISSED HER POINT. THE ARTICLE IS TITLED “Two Arrested for Prostitution in Brazos County.”

ENOUGH OF THIS MEANNESS – BACK IN THE EARLY 90’S, THEN-KBTX GENERAL MANAGER JIM BARONET LAUNCHED AN IMAGE CAMPAIGN THAT TO THIS DAY IS STILL TALKED ABOUT - PERHAPS A THROWBACK TO A MORE CIVIL TIME – BEFORE IMPERSONAL AND ANONYMOUS ATTACKS. SEE IF YOU RECOGNIZE ANY OF THESE FACES IN ONE OF THE FIRST EVER CHAPTERS IN A CAMPAIGN CALLED, HELLO BRAZOS VALLEY.

(video)

AMONG THE NOTABLES IN THAT FOOTAGE, THE LATE MARGARET RUDDER. WIFE OF GENERAL JAMES EARL RUDDER. SOMEHOW, THAT REMINDER OF LIFE IN THE BRAZOS VALLEY DOES ME FAR MORE GOOD THAN READING SOME OF THE COMMENTS WE GET THESE DAYS. SEND US YOUR THOUGHTS, WE’RE LISTENING. AND YOUR OPINION ALWAYS MATTERS.
