Some comments simple leave me speechless. So it is with this one.
As a CBS affiliate, KBTX airs a number of SEC Football games, including Texas A&M. We are an affiliate of CBS obviously, we aren't owned by CBS. One viewer sent this e-mail in following A&M's game with Auburn:
"I have lived in this area all my life. I have watched channel 3 all my life. But after today's coverage of the Aggie game by CBS, I may never watch Channel 3 again. The sportscasters were horrible during the Alabama game and definitely one-sided in their coverage. They were a little better today, but still got in their share of snide remarks. It would be okay with me if CBS went bankrupt and had to shut down. Hopefully, future coverage of ALL Aggie games will be done by ESPN. At least if they're one-sided, I won't feel like my local channel is bad-mouthing us."
I, for one, hopes CBS does NOT go bankrupt and shut down. And certainly, all other announcers have only had good things to say about A&M. Always. I got nothing else.

Hi Mike, I could not be happier with the 6:30PM program change. After several years of grabbing the remote at 6:30 to get rid of 'JIM', I can now stray on KBTX until bedtime. Saves wear and tear on the remote :-). In my personal opinion, 'According to Jim' was a low-life gutter program.
Let's be honest. E-T isn't probably the most family friendly program out there, but the contract for Jim was up and it will show up on a cable network in the near future. That's the way the world of syndication works. When we originally looked for programming at that time of the day, we wanted something fresh and current. News 3 starts at 4, CBS at 5:30, so ET seemed to be a good fit. However - options are limited. If it's me- and yes, this will date me a bit - I'd bring back Andy Griffith or M*A*S*H. Something from a simpler time in life.
Now for something good: this note about our new morning meteorologist.
Natalie Ferrari is AWESOME! I watched when Shel introduced her on Friday and watched her this morning. Good choice. She is seems really confident and does a GREAT job! So where is Kailey going? I will miss her, but I am sure she is excited about not having to wake up at 4:00 a.m. now.
I agree about Natalie, and this is just one of the many great comments we've heard. Kailey is still very much here, just back to noon, 4 and sometimes 5 as before.
I really appreciate the partnership we share with this region, and it means a lot to hear the good and the sometimes - not so good. Be in touch anytime. Your opinion always matters to the family of KBTX News 3.
