It's home to more than 2.5 million lights, and uses enough electricity to power several neighborhoods in the Brazos Valley.
Santa's Wonderland has become a staple in the area but as you might imagine, those beautiful lights come with a pretty hefty price tag. So this year the winter wonderland, is going green and saving some green.
"A lot of people say wow, we can really see these lights from like three to four miles away," Scott Medlin said.
Scott Medlin has been lighting up the Brazos Valley with Santa's Wonderland, for more than a decade. It's a big job, that comes with an even bigger utility bill.
"We got millions of lights, and so the electric bill has always been a huge deal," Medlin said.
So this year, Medlin and others set out to find a better, more efficient alternative.
"What this is, is actually LED lighting," Medlin said. "It lasts for about 100,000 hours typically, where as incandescent will last about 6,000."
And it's about 10 times brighter....
More than a half a million of the new lights are now scattered throughout the entire park.
In fact, every colored bulb you see, is now the greener alternative.
"There's about 35 to 40 trees out here, each one of these trees has about 2,000 LED lights on them," Medlin said.
Although there's still some white lights of Christmas past still visible, Scott hopes Christmas present at Santa's Wonderland ushers in a new era sparkle.
"It's a trend, something we want to go further into. We would like to replace all our incandescent lights with LED lighting," Medlin said.
If you want to see the new and improved lights for yourself, Santa's Wonderland is open every night from now until the end of December.

Alice spent 100.00,that is grocery money for so many people now, If you fortunate to be able to spend $100.00 , I am sure you can enjoy it. Unfortunately, we must eat...
My husband and I took our kids out to Santa's Wonderland this past weekend and had a wonderful time. We've been going for several years and we love the new stuff they add every year. Everybody on this site keeps complaining about the price. It cost the four of us $60 for admission to Santa's Town and for Santa's Hayride. We spent another $20 on drinks and food. My children also did the pony ride & petting zoo. This brought our total cost for the evening to $100. The town also had some fabulous live entertainment and the kids played in the fake snow most of the night. We all had a blast and the workers are incredibly friendly! Comparing this adventure for four to all other family activities seemed to be easily in line "price" wise. At the end of the day, it's not what something costs, it's what it's worth that counts! For our family it's WORTH the money!
its a wonderful place everybody that works there ,are so pleasant. about the cost, they've made so many changes ,the bathroom is so nice, a year prior it was pretty small,so they made changes for the public. So they must of put alot into all the changes. So no wonder they had to go up in prices, its all still worth it. you can't find it anywhere in texas. we love it
