Flu Vaccination Statistics Skewed

New research indicates that while flu shots do provide protection against catching the virus, they do not have a major impact on death in the elderly.

Some previous studies reported an impressive 50 percent reduction in death from any cause in older people who got the vaccination, but researchers now say the numbers were skewed because people who got the shot tended to be in better health overall.
