Pain Killers May Complicate Prostate Screenings

In a St. Joseph's Healthscene report, popular pain relievers such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen may complicate prostate screening. The drugs lower a protein in the blood that's used to test for the disease, but some experts worry the medications simply mask patients' risk, by lowering their test levels but not affecting their actual chances of developing a tumor.
