In a St. Joseph's Healthscene report, the so-called Mediterranean diet may give an even bigger health boost than previously thought. Earlier research indicated a diet rich in fish and vegetables and low in red meat and dairy products led to a lower risk of cancer and heart disease. Now a new study's shown people who follow these eating guidelines also have a significantly reduced danger of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.
