In a St. Joseph Healthscene report, severe stress may increase the risk of breast cancer. A new study's found a series of traumatic events , such as the sudden death of a loved one or the unexpected loss of a job, leads to a significantly higher danger of the disease. Israeli researchers claim that after adjusting for other factors, they found women who faced 2 or 3 extremely stressful situations in a short time had a 62% increased risk of breast cancer.
