In a St. Joseph Healthscene report, a new British study's found children who attend daycare are 35% less likely to have asthma by age 6. Kids enrolled between 6 months and a year have a 75% reduction in risk. The findings support the so-called "hygiene hypothesis" which argues the less exposure to infections children have early in life, the more likely they are to develop illness.
