Medicare will No Longer Pay for Sloppy Work

In a St. Joseph Healthscene report, Medicare will no longer pay for sloppy work. The healthcare provider has informed hospitals it won't reimburse them for patient costs due to avoidable problems, such as a fall or an easily-preventable infection. Advocates hope the new rule, which went into effect yesterday, makes hospital stays a little safer.
