Hormone Replacement Therapy & Heart Risk

In a St. Joseph Healthscene report, how and when women take hormone replacement therapy appears to affect their heart risk. Researchers studying 700,000 women concluded that those aged 51 to 54 on the drug regimen had a 24% higher risk of heart attack, especially if they used them long-term. Women older than 54 showed no similar increased risk.
