In a St. Joseph Healthscene report, federal health officials have put out their first report card on the new HPV vaccine. It says 1 in 4 teenage girls has been immunized since Gardasil was approved 2 years ago. The vaccine protects against viruses that cause 70% of cervical cancer cases. Doctors recommend girls get vaccinated when they're 11 or 12.
