U.S. Infant Mortality Rate

In a St. Joseph Healthscene report, the U.S. is still lagging behind other rich nations in infant mortality. With 7 deaths per 1,000 live births in 2004, the U.S. ranked 29 in the world. That compares to 27 in 2000, 23 in 1990, and 12 in 1960.
