In a St. Joseph Healthscene report, a new study's found areas in the Pacific Northwest with the most rainfall also have higher autism rates. Scientists speculate that the precipitation itself, which might carry pollutants or its possible consequences such as increased television watching and more exposure to household chemicals, may trigger the condition in genetically susceptible children.
