In a St. Joseph Healthscene report, babies conceived using invitro fertilization have a greater risk of being born with certain birth defects than those conceived naturally. Researchers found these infants were 2 to 4 times more likely to be born with certain kinds of heart problems and gastrointestinal disorders. But they note the overall risk of such defects remains low.
