In a St. Joseph Health Scene Report, when it comes to learning a new complex skill, practice may make perfect, but only if you get some sleep. New findings suggest sleep can help the mind learn difficult tasks and remember skills that they believed they had forgotten over the course of the day. The study expands on past research that showed sleep improves performance of simple tasks like recalling memorized lists.
