Traffic and Heart Disease

In a St. Joseph Health Scene Report, heavy traffic may lead to a broken heart. Scientists found that people who live near congestion are more likely to develop a hardening of the arteries and increase their risk of heart disease. The panel also says prolonged exposure to high levels of air pollution reduced overall life expectancy.
