In a St. Joseph Health Scene report, according to experts, an early C-section may carry serious risks for your child. Moms-to-be who opt for a cesarean section before the 39 week of pregnancy increase their baby's risk of developing respiratory problems and other complications. The report shows more than half of all C-sections are done by choice and more than a third are done too early.
