In a St. Joseph Health Scene Report, a drop in weather temperature could lead to an unhealthy rise in blood pressure. A French study shows blood pressure readings in elderly people rose from 24% to 33% in the winter. Researchers say the spike could be due to the effect cold weather has on the nervous system.
