In a St. Joseph Health Scene, nurses exposed to disinfectants while on the job may increase their asthma risk. A new study found those who were regularly around cleaning chemicals were 73% more likely to get asthma and 57% more likely to report asthma-like symptoms. Scientists recommend hospitals replace those disinfectants with less hazardous products.
