In a St. Joseph Health Scene Report, measuring a woman's heart rate at rest can help predict heart trouble. A survey of post-menopausal women found those with the highest heart rate were 26% more likely to suffer a heart attack or die from heart disease. The findings give doctors an easy and inexpensive way to monitor health risks.
