In a St. Joseph Health Scene report, youth mental illness is costing the nation a fortune every year. A new survey shows mental illness, substance abuse and behavioral problems among young people costs the U.S. 247-billion dollars in treatment and lost productivity alone. The panel is urging the White House to set prevention goals and coordinate government action to attack the problem.
