In a St. Joseph Health Scene report, a new study is highlighting the need for more kidney donations from deceased donors. Researchers say the shortage of deceased donors has pushed more people to seek an organ donation from a friend or relative. They estimate nearly 40% of all kidney transplants are from living donors.
