BRYAN The Brazos Valley Council of Governments (BVCOG), Brazos Valley Workforce Solutions, City of College Station, City of Bryan, and Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living in partnership with Blinn College will be holding a Community Health Fair on Wednesday, November 6th, 2013 from 1:00PM – 5:00PM. The health fair will be held at the Brazos Valley Council of Governments at 3991 E. 29th St, Bryan, TX 77802.
Nursing students from Blinn College will be answering medical questions as well as conducting checks for:
· High blood pressure
· Vision and hearing
· Heights and weights
“It is the goal of BVCOG to collaborate with our local partners throughout the region and provide a central meeting space for essential public services,” says Tom Wilkinson, Executive Director.
Facilitators will be available to answer questions about the Affordable Care Act and Healthcare Marketplace, and assist individuals in applying for healthcare coverage through the Marketplace.
Representatives from the Division for Blind Services (DARS), City of College Station, Workforce Solutions, Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living, and many others will be available for all participants.
