KBTX News Anchor Taken to Jail for MDA

Someone arrested by a Brazos County Constable in the KBTX lobby on Thursday may look familiar.

Here's a hint, his initials are John Gilbert.

That constable handcuffed News 3 Anchor John Gilbert and hauled him off to the Muscular Dystrophy Association Lockup.

The Texas Roadhouse in College Station served as a jail for local leaders, business people and other jailbirds.

The goal, to raise bail to provide clinics, research centers, equipment, even summer camp money for those affected by neuro-muscular diseases.

They raised more than $50,000 in bail money.

A shout-out to the Woodbolt Company that matched Thursday's pledges dollar for dollar.

And a reminder, KBTX News 3 is the host of the local segment of the MDA Telethon on Sunday night, September 4th.
