St. Joseph Eagle's Nest Recieves $8,703.00 Grant/Blessing by Monsignor John McCaffrey

St. Joseph Eagle's Nest recently received a grant in the amount of $8,703.00 from the Texas Department of Agriculture to implement a "Nutrition and Fitness Program" at the childcare facility.

St. Joseph Eagle's Nest is the only local childcare center to receive this grant, and with it, they have been able to purchase state of the art software, which requires fingerprinting to check a child in and out of the childcare facility, purchase trikes for exercise, as well as nutritional education products that will help us add this to our curriculum. St. Joseph was also able to build a new trike path so the children will have more room to ride the trikes.

Monsignor John A. McCaffrey will be blessing the trike path on August 30, 2012, at 9:00am at St. Joseph Eagle's Nest - Preston (109 N. Preston). There will be a reception following the blessing where health conscious refreshments such as fruits and vegetables will be served.
