Dr. George Richardson discusses the catching of joints commonly known as Trigger Finger.
The name of it is Trigger Finger and we know that it is caused by catching of the Tendon in the Tendon Sheath when somebody bends their finger down. Usually they will come in and bend their finger down and it will lock and they have to take their other hand and pull it back out. It almost always bothers people early in the morning.
It is a little more common in women, but men get it fairly often too. We understand this is associated with Diabetes and different types of Arthritis, particularly Rheumatoid Arthritis.
