In today’s Brazos Valley Physicians Organization Journal of Medicine report Dr Kumud Tripathy talks about skin cancer.
"The skin cancer is the most common type of, the most common. Incidents anywhere from 1 million to 3 million cases per year. But most of the largest majority of those are either basal cell or squamous cell carcinoma. Those are very easily treated and they almost never spread or are never fatal.
The one that is considered "bad" is melanoma. Melanoma is becoming more common. It’s hard to say what is causing that but one of the causes that we all know is the ultraviolet rays, exposure to sunlight. If caught early, you know it can be cured. But if it is not caught early, it can be it can be really bad and be fatal.
When we go out into sun, we have to cover ourselves, we have to you know to use sunscreen with SPF of at least 30 and repeat frequently,
