In today’s Brazos Valley Physicians Organization Journal of Medicine Report, Leon Bradway discusses headaches.
"I’d like to talk with you today about headaches, particularly tension headaches. What’s interesting to note is that a lot of times patients will come into me and talk about having a headache and invariably what I will find is pain and discomfort in their mid back, in their shoulders, up and around their neck or even into their facial area that needs to be addressed to help them get rid of their headache. What a physician therapist can do to help you is to get into that soft tissue area to relieve some of those tension trigger point areas, get those muscles to release so you can feel comfortable.
"Also, its very important to have the individual with the headache problem begin to understand some of the posturing that they may be doing throughout the day or even at work that’s contributing to their headache problem."
The Brazos Valley Physicians Organization is a group of independent physicians who are determined to preserve the choice and sanctity of the patient physician relationship. Our vision is that the patient always comes first.
